The Yenepoya Institute of Arts Science Commerce and Management (YIASCM), a constituent unit of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) is a multidisciplinary institution conducting quality academic programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, a transformative step by the Government of India has been adopted by Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) since 2021 paving the way for greater academic autonomy for adopting tangible regulatory framework among the constituent units. We at YIASCM strongly believe that the students are the heart of education and learning processes. Towards this, every attempt is made to adopt increased flexibility and choice of subjects across various programs under arts, humanities, commerce, management, science and technology, online and other vocational programs. The students are provided with relevant life skills and value added courses leading to holistic development. The student centric approach adopted by the institution makes the students the crafters to customize their education, enabling them to decide on the most appropriate learning methods while providing educational leverage for the students to be life-long learners.
Efforts are on at our institute to increase access, equity, and inclusion through promoting online education and vocational programs/courses. We have collaboration with nationally and internationally renowned Industries and Institutions to design programs and for mobility of students across the institutions, Internships and Placements under NEP. At YIASCM, we are proactive in adopting technology enabled teaching and training which include online and e-learning processes. We have been successful in bridging the gap between the students and the Institute by effective deployment of e-governance and e-learning tools. The research ecosystem created facilitates innovation, creative thinking and entrepreneurship among students to achieve success and make them globally competent. Community engagement is the hallmark of Yenepoya institutions. Students are engaged in experiential and community-based learning through outreach activities.
On behalf of my team of well qualified faculty and support staff members, I extend my sincere wishes and support, for fulfilling the mission of the University for attaining academic excellence and global competencies among students. We promise to create an environment for the generation of new knowledge through meaningful research, adoption of the latest methods of pedagogy integrated with the highest ethical standard. Further, we hope that the knowledge acquired and new knowledge generated for the development of mankind ultimately create graduates with competencies for becoming inspiring leaders of tomorrow who can support our nation for accomplishing self-reliance and to be in the forefront of the developed nations.
