On World Tourism Day, the Department of Hospitality Science at Yenepoya University celebrated with a grand Onam Sadya, a traditional Kerala feast, organized by the BSc Culinary Arts program. The event was attended by esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. Shareena P., Vice Principal and Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management; Dr. Jeevan Raj, Mr. Narayan Sukumara, Vice Principals; and Dr. Rathnaker Shetty, Head of the Department of Computer Science.
The program began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the honored guests, signifying the start of the celebration. The Onam Sadya, carefully prepared by the Culinary Arts students, showcased traditional Indian cuisine, reflecting the importance of culinary heritage in tourism. This event highlighted the role of cultural celebrations in promoting tourism and hospitality education.
