On October 25, 2024, the Department of Hospitality Science at Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science, Commerce & Management hosted ChampYen Chef 2024 to celebrate International Chefs Day, with the theme "Growing Great Chefs." The event featured a cooking reality show with auditions on October 16, 17, and 21, followed by competitive rounds, including "No Fire, Full Flavor" and "Hour to Win It!" Four finalists competed in the Grand Finale, where they participated in a Mystery Box Challenge, showcasing their creativity. The event, graced by MasterChef Season 8 Winner Mohammed Ashiq and other dignitaries, was supported by various sponsors and live-streamed by Daijiworld TV 24x7. Winners from multiple categories received cash prizes, medals, trophies, and other rewards, with the overall winner awarded ₹5,000. ChampYen Chef 2024 successfully celebrated culinary talent and fostered community engagement, highlighting the Department's dedication to culinary education.
