On December 13, 2024, the Department of Hospitality Science organized a webinar on "Careers in the Culinary and Hospitality Industry in the UK," led by Ms. Kavitha Shah, Head of India Operations at University College Birmingham. The session, attended by 40 students and faculty members, provided insights into global career prospects in culinary and hospitality fields. Ms. Shah highlighted opportunities in these sectors, detailed the facilities at University College Birmingham, and discussed scholarships and part-time job opportunities for international students. She also mentioned the potential for collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the university and the department. The webinar concluded with a vote of thanks from Mr. Ravoof, a second-year MSc student. The event proved highly valuable for students seeking international career opportunities in the industry.
