"Expert Lecture on Forensic Science: Unveils the Impact of Forensics in Crime Investigation and Trials at YIASCM"

The Department of Forensic Science at YIASCM hosted an expert lecture on "Decoding Evidence: The Impact of Forensics on Solving Crime and Influencing Trials" on September 26, 2024 by Mr. Jayakumaran Nair R, former Chief Chemical Examiner, Government of Kerala. Mr. Nair discussed the critical role of forensic science in criminal investigations, highlighting the operations of forensic laboratories in Kerala and the analysis of 85,000 forensic samples annually. He shared insights from significant criminal cases involving narcotics, pesticides, cement adulteration, alcohol, and poisons.
