The Department of Forensic Science at YIASCM hosted an online session on "Role of Scientific Expert in Forensic Investigation and Courtroom Testimony" as part of the Navyarambh 2024 Induction and Orientation Programme on 21st September 2024 via Google Meet. The session featured Dr. J.R. Gaur, Former Director of the Forensic Science Laboratory, Himachal Pradesh, as the chief guest. Prof. (Dr.) Reject Paul. M.P., HOD of Forensic Science, delivered the welcome address. Dr. Gaur discussed the crucial role of forensic experts in investigations and courtroom testimony, emphasizing forensic biology, serology, DNA, and expert evidence with real-life case studies.
