Webinar on "Sustainable Solution for Urban Water Management"

The Eco Club, YIASCM Balmatta in association with Environmental Management and Policy Research Institute (EMPRI), Bengaluru organized a webinar on "Sustainable Solution for Urban Water Management" on the occasion of World Water Day on 22nd March 2024 from11.00 p.m. onwards for the students of Eco Club, Balmatta unit.

The resource person for the session was Ms Rohini Pradeep, Project Manager, CDD, India.

The session gave insights on sustainable Water Management techniques and ways to adopt and promote urban waste Water treatment and conservation. The talk also emphasized on the importance of DEWATS (Decentralized Waste Water Treatment System) and promote nature based solutions to conserve water. Besides, this technique and it's ability to reuse byproducts was mentioned.

The session was coordinated by Dr Sareen Sheikh, Staff Coordinator of Eco Club, Balmatta and Dr. Vinaya Chaitanya, Programme officer EMPRI, Bengaluru.
