The Department of Commerce and
Management at Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science, Commerce, and Management
(YIASCM), a Constituent Unit of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University) in
collaboration with the International Skill Development Corporation (ISDC) organised
the 3rd Series of the Enlightened Master Class in Digital Marketing on March
20, 2024, at Kulur Campus, Mangaluru.
The event initiated with a warm
welcome extended by Mr. Mahammad Shahid, Head of the Department of Commerce, to
the delegates. Dr. Arun A Bhagwath, the esteemed Principal and Dean Faculty of
Science, enlightened the audience on the importance of global knowledge and the
significance of mastering new-age skills in Digital Marketing for students'
holistic development.
Dr. Simon Fraser and Mr. Craig
Leith, esteemed experts from Robert Gordon University, Scotland were the
distinguished Resource Persons for the session. Their comprehensive
presentations covered various aspects of digital marketing, ranging from market
analysis and consumer behavior to branding strategies and digital advertising
methodologies. The aim was to equip students with the necessary tools and
techniques to thrive in this dynamic field.
The presence of Vice Principals Dr.
Shareena P, Dean Faculty of Commerce and
Management, Dr. Jeevan Raj and Mr. Narayan Sukumar A added gravitas to the
event. The resource persons from Robert Gordon University were honored in a
traditional manner as a token of appreciation for their invaluable
contributions.
The session, held from 10 am to
12:30 pm, marked the third part of the series, with the preceding two sessions
having been conducted online. A total of 250 students from B. Com, BBA, and MBA
programs actively participated in the event, demonstrating their enthusiasm for
learning. Notable attendees included Ms. Megha Malhothra from Robert Gordon
University, Ms. Babitha and Ms. Tanuj from ISDC, Dr. Vaibhav Mehran (Principal,
YDU Bangalore), Dr. Namratha S (PG Coordinator), Ms. Neeksitha Shetty (Head of
Department, Management) and Mr.Mervin Jason Vas (Head of Department,
Hospitality Science).
Ms. Sheetal Nayak, Assistant
Professor, efficiently managed the proceedings as the Master of Ceremony, while
Mr. Subramani K, Assistant Professor, coordinated the event.
