YENIXA 2026 Concludes on a High Note at YIASCM

Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science, Commerce & Management (YIASCM), Kulur Campus, hosted the valedictory ceremony of YENIXA 2026 - Traverse Time at the Quadrangle, marking the successful culmination of the National Intercollegiate Fest on Monday, February 16, 2026.

Addressing the gathering as Chief Guest, Ms. Preethi Nayak, Co-founder, Joos Botal, Mangaluru, delivered an inspiring message to students. She emphasized that in today's world, information is readily available at one's fingertips; however, academic scores alone are not sufficient. What truly matters is involvement in processes, active participation in activities, and earning recognition through consistent effort.

She highlighted that in workplaces and business environments, performance and contribution carry greater weight than mere credentials. Encouraging students to build their visibility wherever they are-be it in classrooms or professional spaces-she stressed the importance of continuous learning. "Learning does not stop once you leave the classroom; it is a lifelong process," she remarked.

In his presidential address, Prof. Jeevan Raj, Principal (I/c), YIASCM, congratulated the participants for their spirited involvement and applauded the organizing committee for the seamless conduct of the fest. He reiterated the importance of such platforms in fostering confidence, leadership, and interdisciplinary exposure among students. Mr. Narayan Sukumar A, Vice Principal, YIASCM; Programme Coordinator Ms. Bindiya G from the department of Computer Science; Heads of various departments; faculty members; Student Council members; staff; and participants were present on the occasion.

The gathering was welcomed by Dr. Sareen Sheikh, Department of Chemistry. The prizes were announced by Ms. Pinakini P. Shetty, Department of Commerce, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Sahana S, Department of Commerce. The programme was compered by Ms. Amritha C, Department of Linguistic Studies, along with Ms. Deepika, Department of Computer Science.

St. Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, emerged as the overall winner of YENIXA 2026, securing the championship trophy along with a cash prize of ₹15,000. Canara College, Mangaluru, was declared the runner-up and received a trophy and a cash prize of ₹10,000.

YENIXA 2026 witnessed remarkable 651 participants from 35 colleges across Mangaluru, various parts of Karnataka, and neighbouring states, reinforcing its stature as a prominent intercollegiate platform. The valedictory ceremony concluded on an enthusiastic note, celebrating talent, teamwork, and the spirit of healthy competition that defined YENIXA 2026.
