The Youth Red Cross (YRC) of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), in collaboration with the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Dakshina Kannada, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), and the Regional Response Centre Bengaluru, successfully organized a one-day district-level Disaster Management Training at the Yendurance Zone, Deralakatte, Mangaluru.The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Sri Raju K, who emphasized the importance of disaster preparedness and the active participation of youth in mitigating and responding tonatural disasters. In his address, he underscored the significance of timely actions and community-based disaster management efforts, particularly driven by the youth. Sri CA Shantharama Shetty, who also graced the occasion, highlighted the crucial role that youth play in disaster management and how their involvement can help build resilient communities. The program was presided over by Dr. M. Vijayakumar, Vice Chancellor of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), who reiterated the university's commitment to fostering an environment of learning and community service.
