YIASCM Felicitates ACCA Achievers on Professional Day 2025

Mangaluru, October 30: The Department of Commerce at Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management (YIASCM), a constituent unit of Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), in collaboration with the International Skill Development Corporation (ISDC), organised Professional Day 2025 - Felicitation to ACCA Achievers to honour students who excelled in the globally recognised ACCA qualification.

Chief Guest, Ms. Shilpi Tandan, Associate Director at KPMG, congratulated the achievers and emphasised the increasing value of international professional qualifications in the evolving business landscape. The Guest of Honour, Dr. B. T. Nandish, Controller of Examinations, Yenepoya (Deemed to be University), appreciated the department's efforts in integrating such global programmes into higher education.

In his Presidential Address, Prof. Jeevan Raj, Principal, commended the students for their dedication and urged them to continue striving for professional excellence. The event was also supported by Dr. Shareena P, Vice Principal and Dean, Faculty of Commerce and Management, and Mr. Narayan Sukumar A, Vice Principal, who lauded the department's role in nurturing globally competent graduates.

A major highlight was the felicitation of Ms. Isha Mariyam A and Ms. Ayisha Abdul Rauf from the B.Com (IAF) 2022-25 batch, who earned ACCA Affiliate status in the September 2025 Examination Session. Additionally, 34 students received Certificates of Appreciation for clearing various ACCA papers.

The programme was coordinated by Mr. Mahammad Shahid, Head of the Department of Commerce, with support from Ms. Nandadevi, Regional Manager, ISDC. Ms. Shruthi K compered the event, while Ms. Dipti Padhi, Event Coordinator, proposed the Vote of Thanks.

The celebration reaffirmed YIASCM's commitment to fostering academic excellence and producing future-ready professionals in the fields of commerce and finance.
