A Talk on Career Guidance

A career guidance programe in collaboration with Lion's Club, Mangalore Karavaii branch was organized by Microbiology dept on 22nd March 2025 in YMK auditorium,YIASCM , Mangalore.

The resource person was Prof.Ronald Pinto, Director of Individual Development, Mangalore.

Ms. Jyothi Chandrahas, president of Lions's club Mangalore Karavali  branch,and members Ln Adv Chandrahas Kadri and Ln Dr SM Shivprakash addressed the students.

Dr.Sumangala Rao, HoD of Microbiology called upon students to make use of opportunity by interacting with the resource persons.

Ms. Shauiza of B.Sc Microbiology welcomed the guests

Ms. Hrishika of B.Sc Forensic science compered the program. Mr.Samson Harsha Paul introduced the resource persons and Ms. Isha Shanavas of B.Sc Microbiology proposed vote of thanks.

Prof. Ronald Pinto during his course of talk presented importance aspects of writing a good curriculum vitae. Resume and biodata for applying for jobs. 

He also mentioned the important points regarding facing an interview. His main focus was on career prospectus in various government organizations and private sector and their requirement. He also had a demo mock interview with students.

The programe was addended nearly 100 students from    MSc, B. Sc Microbiology, and Forensic Science.

The whole program was coordinated by faculty member Mr. Dhanush Begur of Microbiology Department.
