B.A. Communication Design (Animation)

Overview

This program will allow you to cultivate your artistic and technical capabilities, enabling you to create animated characters necessary for today’s storytelling. You will understand the tools and techniques needed to produce lifelike movements in your art and build a strong foundation of skills you can apply to advance your animation proficiency. The many things that Animation includes are the fundamentals of 2D and 3D animation and allied fields that lend to animation, such as creating characters from scratch, texturing, lighting, rigging, animation and rendering. Depending on the project worked on, you will use simulation with compositing with 3D particles and various effects as required.

The Indian M&E industry was projected to grow 14% over 2016–21, with a CAGR of Digital advertising at 28%, the Animation and Visual Effects (VFX) industry at 16.4%, and gaming at 18.1%. The entertainment industry is projected to be worth more than US$ 62.2 billion by FY2025.

Eligibility

• Students should achieve the Senior Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent examination from a recognised board with at least 45%.
• Demonstrate creative aptitude by achieving well in an entry test conducted by the University. This entry test enables the prospective student’s Aptitude for Art and Design to be evaluated by faculty members.
